  • Golf in Myrtle Beach - Different Every Time

This intriguing post covers several of the key topics affecting Myrtle Beach golf courses that you might find in a Myrtle Beach golf package. A detailed reading of this material could make a great difference in how you think about Myrtle Beach golf courses.

One thing every golfer will agree on is no golf course is ever identical. Playing ones home course, no matter how many times it is done, is always going to be unique. Although playing new courses is fun and challenging, it's hard to beat the satisfaction of playing a Myrtle Beach golf course that you know and love.

Yes, it is the same course, nothing has changed except for the place of the cup on the green, but no golf course is ever exactly the same two days in a row.

Chevy Chase in the movie "Caddyshack" told his caddy how the grass follows the sun, which means a putt that broke one way in the daybreak will break in an another direction in the afternoon.

Another thing that makes the same course different is the conditions. Weather plays a big component in golf, and how a course plays. A wet course will play slower and the ball will not travel as far after hitting the grass. On a dry course, the ball will roll further after hitting the turf. The direction and speed of the wind on any particular day could also create positive or adverse effects on a golfers game.

A golf course plays differently in warm or cold conditions. Colder weather condition keeps the ball from going as far, while a well hit ball will go further on a warm or hot day. To Boot, if an area has been dry for some length of time, the fairways, unless they are watered to a great extent each day, will become as hard as concrete and offer extra distance once the ball hits the ground.

Then comes the golfer’s mental attitude. A golfer's state of mind will have a special outcome on how well he or she plays and responds to the course. I can tell you that I've had some of my best and worst days on my local Myrtle Beach golf course & it usually depends on my state of mind. Although golfing can be a great stress reliever, those are not days I find myself under par. Golf in Myrtle Beach is a game requiring a calm, focused head, so the golf pro can focus on what he or she is trying to do on any particular shot.

One other thing that will make the same Myrtle Beach course play differently is how the greens are kept I can tell you from experience, the golf course at Myrtle Beach are always maintained at high standards. I am never disappointed. I love playing at these courses because it is awful when a fairway is permitted to grow a little long. When this happens, balls will not be able to drift as far as you want or expect them to go. I believe it is much nicer if course are kept reduced close to the earth.

The rough is a completely different problem. This is an obstacles that can be a real pain on the course. The rough is always going to be deep and hard to play out of, but a heavy, moist rough makes it almost impossible for a golfer to do much more than simply attempt to chip back onto the fairway. Sprinkler heads, which are positioned all over the course, will also have an adverse affect on a ball that happens to hit them. Again, something that is hard to avoid and can cause much frustration, but can also cause great elation when avoided.

Whether or not a person is playing golf alone or with others will also affect the way the course is played. So, this only goes to show how the same course, no matter how many times a person plays it, is never the same course.

  • World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach

Once you have braced yourself to travel across six time zones, and five different countries, you would find yourself in the middle of the much coveted property, which is the World Tour Golf Links. Apart from its apt name, there is a lot more to this Myrtle Beach golf course.

When a golf course is as touted as this one is, there has to be a certain bit of exclusivity. There are about sixteen courses that are as exclusive, not just in terms of affordability but also in terms of its ease of play. The entire ground was modeled after taking inspiration from several countries. For a professional golfer, who has played around the world, this Myrtle Beach golf course is only a small summary of the very best around the world. One has to admit that, these only add to the exotic experience of being able to play all of the twenty-seven holes. With the abundance of water holes, innumerable driving stations, and an unmatched number of range balls, one can proudly putt away to glory while on your Myrtle Beach golf vacation.

With all of this in place as you golf in Myrtle Beach, it can be well expected that the whole of 6688 yards, is made for a class that is a cut above the rest. The average cost of a game at the public courses is about a thousand dollars and that is hardly inclusive of the other amenities. However, there is nothing that takes away from this, being a sight and a game to behold.

  • Myrtle Beach Golf – Aberdeen

Myrtle Beach Golf  – Aberdeen Country Club

Amongst all other Myrtle Beach golf courses, one of the most  desired are the  courses offered by Aberdeen Country Club.

The clear highlight is the lush green meadows along with a beautiful view of the local surroundings. It is located north of Myrtle Beach and is visited by golf enthusiasts all round the year, although the maximum rush is during winter and spring. This is in keeping with the Scottish tradition of playing golf and the three nine-hole courses; namely, Meadows, Highlands, and Woodland nines; which only adds to a incredible experience and should be included with any golf package for Myrtle Beach.

The other interesting features of this Myrtle Beach golf course is that it has about twenty-seven holes and it is semi private in nature. The guest policy is available year round however; there are special rewards of being a member, as is the case with any other golf course. A golf professional and a driving range are available anytime, and the rental carts here are part of the fees. Apart from this, a golf pro would not be left complaining about sand and chipping area or a putting green. There are four tee boxes and the double tee format works very well for expert and amateur players alike.

Playing golf in Myrtle Beach can get tiresome because of the long walks and the concentration it requires. The Aberdeen Country Club has a replenished snack bar to take care of this too.
